Happy Wellness Friday folks! February is Heart Health month so we’re kicking it off with National Wear Red Day! Heart health is a cause that is very important to our residents so stay tuned for some events specifically focused on cardiac health. Here are some ways you can promote heart health every day:
- Stay active
- Eat a balanced diet with a variety of fruits and veggies
- Limit your salt and alcohol intake
- Check your blood pressure and cholesterol regularly
- Manage your stress
- If you smoke, stop
- Get a good night’s sleep
- Do your best to maintain a healthy weight
