A Year In Review At Carolina Bay!

November marked our 1 year anniversary for Carolina Bay and as residents and staff gathered to celebrate, it was also a time to reflect on what a year it has been! From the excitement of watching the progress of construction, to the moment we first walked through the doors and marveled at the beauty of the finished product, it has been a year of continued growth. Our first residents to move in saw a large building for us to fill, and they have been the foundation on which we have grown a vibrant and caring community, with folks from all over the world that exude energy and excitement for being a part of Carolina Bay. Carolina Bay residents certainly know how to live life to the fullest, and participation in our wellness program at Carolina Bay keeps everyone enjoying an active lifestyle. Residents enjoy a morning water aerobics class in our heated pool, an afternoon of Tai Chi or Yoga, or go at their own pace in our fully equipped fitness center. With our Wellness Program participation rates nearly doubling in the past year, it demonstrates Carolina Bay resident’s commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. And what would life be without a little fun? At Carolina Bay our residents have enjoyed a well-rounded program of activities the past year, with everything from weekly bridge games, to outings to soak in the local culture and entertainment at Thalian Hall. And what grand times we’ve enjoyed at social events here at Carolina Bay such as our Summer Celebration and more recently, celebrating the spirit of the season with our Holiday Open House, complete with savory hors d’oeuvres and egg nog to toast the holidays, prepared by Carolina Bay’s own talented culinary staff. The most exciting part of the past year’s journey is watching the residents of Carolina Bay build such a wonderful community. We get to be a witness to the blossoming of new friendships, the caring and respect demonstrated to new neighbors, and a daily example of an exuberant passion for life. The residents are truly what makes living at Carolina Bay such a luxury.
