Residents Participate in Friendly Competition
Residents of Carolina Bay laced up their sneakers and leaned into friendly competition during one of their most anticipated annual traditions, the Carolina Bay Senior Olympic Games. Launched by Liberty Senior Living in 2018 for its independent living communities, the Liberty Games encourage movement, mental engagement, and connection across the communities. This year, we introduced ALympics for Bradley Creek at Carolina Bay assisted living residents.
Leading up to the Games, a Spirit Week set the tone with themed dress-up days, afternoon socials, and special refreshments. Residents earned extra points for getting into the spirit, building excitement, and camaraderie along the way.
“It was a fun, high-energy event that truly brings the whole community together,” said Rachel Leach, Wellness Director.
Top competitors advanced to the corporate Liberty Games at Hayes Barton Place in Raleigh in March, where they reconnected with residents from sister communities.
