Happy Wellness Wednesday folks!
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting students and staff from New Hanover County Schools through a program with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. They participate in the Career and Leadership Development Academy, which brings different schools together for hands-on learning experiences. During their visit to Carolina Bay, they spent time with our residents and painted plant pots. Afterwards, they joined our cardio drumming class, Pound It — and it was a hit! Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and all the students and teachers for such a fun and memorable day!

We loved hosting nearly 40 Roland-Grise students for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy at Carolina Bay and Bradley Creek! 🌟
The students joined residents of Carolina Bay in lively conversation and crafts. They received valuable job information from the healthcare side of our continuing care retirement community. This week we had the opportunity to honor the men and women who served in the military. It was a very moving ceremony where our residents were recognized by name and presented a certificate of honor along with a Military coin. We had readings from two of our residents, one who was a veteran, and one who was a veteran’s spouse. We concluded our ceremony with a walk to our Wall of Honor where all of our veterans are recognized with their branch and rank.
