Wilmington Luncheon Honors WWII veterans

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A special luncheon was held in downtown Wilmington on Monday to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and honor those in the area who served.
Liberty Senior Living recognized 8 veterans from Bradley Creek at Carolina Bay and The Commons at Brightmore with 4 World War II veterans in attendance at the Pilot House.
Each veteran received two challenge coins, one from the World War II Museum and one from Liberty Senior Living.
