It’s Happening At Carolina Bay!

September 27, 2016

With the majority of apartments occupied, the activities around Carolina Bay are busier than ever! The much anticipated Lumina Daze 20th Annual Fundraiser for Wrightsville Beach Museum was a night to remember for Carolina Bay residents. Live entertainment filled each room of the Blockade Runner, including the Wilmington Big Band, the Imitations & the Dixieland All-Star Band for dancing & toe tapping. We enjoyed silent auction items, working artisans, tasty refreshments & live entertainment… all things Carolina Bay residents can’t get enough of! Carolina Bay celebrated the end of summer with live entertainment featuring Wilmingtonian, Grenoldo Frazier, local jazz musician featured on the Wilmington Walk of Fame. Residents, priority partners, friends & neighbors all joined as the sun set for our first annual Summer Celebration! Resident & Carolina Bay Watch Author, Anne Blackburn, has been friends with Grenaldo Frazier for years. She was kind enough to invite a small group of Carolina Bay Watch contributing authors to visit Grenoldo’s star on the Wilmington Walk of Fame as an inspiration for another column in the “by the residents, for the residents” quarterly publication. Other notable members on the Wilmington Walk of Fame include (but not limited to) Roman Gabriel, Frank Capra Jr., Claude Howell, Minne Evans, Henry Bacon, Hugh Morton, Caterina Jarboro & David Brinkley. Be on the lookout for a feature column on one of these members in the upcoming editions of The Carolina Bay Watch. Next issue to be released on October 4th!
