Carolina Bay Residents Took home 1st Place!

Happy Wellness Wednesday…on a Thursday! A few weeks ago, Carolina Bay had the honor of holding the first annual Liberty Games.
When our Wellness Director, Haley Norris, first started at Carolina Bay an Olympic dream began to take shape. Over the years that dream came into fruition with the yearly Carolina Bay Olympics, but it did not stop there. Haley’s dream was to have each community within Liberty Senior Living host their own Olympics and have the winning residents compete in a larger games, together.
This year that dream came true! Carolina Bay hosted first place athletes from 4 different Liberty Senior Living communities and put on a wide spread of events from swimming races to ping pong tournaments to a third-floor water balloon drop. Everyone who got to watch, participate, coach and cheer along the way had so much fun.
This event was an incredibly special one, made even better when our Carolina Bay residents brought home the first place hardware! We can’t wait to see what this event holds in the future and will start training for own Olympics coming up this Fall. #WellnessThursday We couldn’t look back on all the memories made over those few days without these amazing photographs from megan deitz photography.
