The GEMMS Stronger Together Support Group
Caregiving is one of life’s greatest gifts, both to give and receive. While it is immensely rewarding, it can also be challenging. As caregivers ourselves, we understand these challenges and have created a support group to provide education, inspiration and validation. Knowing the available resources can help navigate these challenges effectively.
Our support group offers:
- Information about Resources: Guidance on locating services from private organizations to assist in caregiving.
- Peer Support and Counseling: Opportunities to connect with other caregivers and receive counseling to cope with the emotional and physical stresses of caregiving.
- GEMMS Training: GEMMS stands for Genuine, Engaging & Meaningful Memory Support. Liberty Senior Living has adopted the teachings and training methods of Teepa Snow and the Positive Approach to Care. We have a PAC-certified independent Trainer, Holly Hines, to guide and support learning and skill development through this program.
